Ardverikie Estate and the Scottish Coast

I wanted to share a bit from a longer road trip day that started at Ardverikie Estate and then on to the Scottish Coast. Our day started at Ardverikie Estate which is absolutely gorgeous. I did visit the estate a few years before this visit and knew I wanted to visit again.

You can stay at various lodging options on the estate, I would LOVE to do this someday, and you can also enjoy the beach area next to the loch and enjoy walking on the grounds. We started by walking past the beautiful gatehouse which may look familiar for any Monarch of the Glen fans out there! Then we made our way to the beach and skirted the loch. We tucked back into the trees and walked along the estate road until we reached the estate. You can view the house however, you cannot tour the actual estate home or get too close. They have a sign so feel free to view from that point. We passed a few others going for a walk and then turning around at the estate. It really is absolutely beautiful. I would happily spend some time on the beach area beside the loch, I saw a few families doing so.

After our walk on the estate we headed toward Ft. William and the coast. We found a lovely spot to spend a few hours at the beach. Some were brave enough to swim in the chilly waves while others looked for shells and walked along the beach dipping their toes in the waves briefly.

I wish I would have bought or rented a wetsuit that I saw others wearing. I couldn’t get over the color of the water and the views were phenomenal. I will definitely get a wetsuit next time or just be brave! haha
